STIs and Symptoms

Bacterial Vaginosis

About

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a condition caused by an imbalance of bacteria in the vagina. BV is more common among sexually active women, but it can occur in women who are not sexually active. BV is associated with having a new sex partner or multiple sex partners, though it is not strictly considered an STI.
